Gas Turbine Specialist – On Site Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform assignments in line with GE EHS and Quality standards.

• Fulfill all necessary pre-job planning and post-job reporting to address customer requirements, as assigned.

• Lead turbine alignment initiatives by gathering precise measurement data using FARO laser, analyzing and interpreting results, and recommending casing and bearing adjustments as per specifications.

• Exhibit expertise in all facets of the On-Site Machining (OSM) service offerings, with the capability to independently complete tasks to the customer's satisfaction.

• Provide consistent OSS progress updates to the OSS Service Manager and the project customer team.

• Offer technical guidance to personnel working at customer locations in accordance with technical specifications. Provide direction and leadership on crew responsibilities and tasks to ensure projects are executed safely, with quality outcomes, and within the defined timeline.

• Assist OSS Supervisors on extensive repair and machining initiatives as required.

• Undertake specialized responsibilities including, but not limited to, executing projects assigned by OSS resource managers, innovating service offerings, conducting training for the wider OSS team, and promoting a culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on-site.

• Ensure all field documentation is filled out accurately, including Safety Observations, Quality Documents, daily turnover logs, and final reports for customers.

• Mentor and enhance the skills of OSS technicians through hands-on training and leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with over 4 years of relevant industry experience.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in field service repair or factory/turbine repair.

• Practical experience with portable on-site machining, specifically with large lathes, boring bars, drills, and mills.

• Proven technical understanding of turbine components and repair methodologies within power generation contexts.
