This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Lead the commissioning process for ABB GIS and RMU systems, ensuring compliance with ABB standards, customer specifications, and relevant IEEE / IEC / ANSI requirements.
• Develop comprehensive commissioning work plans, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Oversee and manage commissioning activities during energization and customer acceptance phases.
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Integrated FAT (IFAT).
• Collaborate with customers, EPCs, utilities, and internal ABB teams.
• Identify potential commissioning risks and spearhead mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical support to contract managers concerning scope and claims.
• Conduct site visits to assist commissioning teams.
• Mentor and nurture the development of junior engineers.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• More than 10 years of commissioning and field engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with ABB GIS (ZX Portfolio) and RMU (SafeRing / SafePlus).
• Familiarity with ABB Protection & Control platforms (ZEE600, SSC600, PCM600).
• Understanding of generator paralleling systems and critical power infrastructure.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating commissioning documentation.
