Game Logic Server Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Transform game concepts or design specifications into fully functional games on the Java code base, taking ownership of server-side game logic from initial commit to release.

• Develop essential game mechanics, reel logic, feature triggers, and bonus flows.

• Organize game mechanics systematically and prepare titles for balancing in collaboration with Game Mathematicians.

• Coordinate the efforts needed to deliver client-ready titles upon release.

• Manage configuration, metadata, and client integration interfaces.

• Collaborate with Game Mathematicians, Client Developers, Designers, QA Engineers, and Producers.

• Integrate with the backend platform, oversee game state, and securely manage game rounds and transactions.

• Identify and resolve issues related to logic, behavior, integration, QA, and production.

• Write clean and maintainable code while enhancing the code base through refactoring, reducing technical debt, and improving development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in software development and back-end engineering.

• Proficient in Java with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software architecture.

• Ability to design clean, maintainable, and configurable game logic.

• Dedication to code quality, maintainability, refactoring, and overall code-base enhancement.

• Strong mathematical skills and logical reasoning ability.

• Familiarity with software design patterns.

• Exceptional attention to detail and capability to manage projects from start to finish.

• Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.

• Experience with Git, distributed version control, and branching strategies.

• Background in working within an Agile Scrum environment.

• Familiarity with Jira or ClickUp.

• Understanding of slot mechanics and iGaming regulatory considerations is a plus.
