This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive game localization and translation for a premier mobile gaming account.

• Adapt in-game user interface, narratives, character dialogues, and promotional content.

• Execute linguistic quality assurance (LQA).

• Refine narratives and adjust content for cross-cultural relevance.

• Engage in creative brainstorming sessions with gaming teams.

• Work remotely during core business hours, totaling 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.

• Undertake information verification, sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), complete qualification sample testing, and onboarding processes.

• Include details of gaming translation and localization experience in your CV.

• Finish a brief unpaid qualification assessment and translation test.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient game localization experience.

• Native or near-native proficiency in English.

• Expertise in translating from Simplified Chinese to English (ZHCN → EN).

• Availability during core business hours.

• Capability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for 8 hours each day.

• At least one of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies with substantial translation training; over 2 years of translation experience with a college degree; over 5 years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification from a relevant government authority.

• Candidates must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates must complete a qualification assessment and translation test.

• Experience in gaming translation/localization, including relevant genres, titles or partial client names, and estimated word counts.

• Mobile gaming experience is recommended.

• Ability to complete a brief unpaid qualification assessment test within the next few days.
