FVLS Manager – Financial Institution Valuation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily execution of financial institution-specific valuations, including CECL obligations, Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR), Core Deposit Intangibles, and FHLB advances.

• Act as a technical expert for the group’s assurance activities, conducting thorough reviews of PCAOB financial institution client valuations to guarantee compliance and reasonableness for regulatory examination.

• Evaluate third-party valuation reports and offer in-depth technical support to audit teams concerning financial assumptions and quantitative modeling.

• Lead the daily mentorship, training, and workload management of Seniors and Associates within the financial institution sector.

• Serve as the primary liaison for external banking clients experiencing acquisitions or regulatory evaluations, ensuring timely project completion.

• Support senior management in business development efforts, proposal writing, and strengthening relationships with current clients.

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned within the practice's scope.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

• 5–7 years of pertinent valuation experience, with a strong emphasis on Financial Institutions.

• Demonstrated experience at a Top 20 or Big 4 accounting firm; must be adept at handling the rigorous scrutiny of public company audit evaluations.

• CPA, ASA, CFA, or ABV certification (either completed or in progress).

• Strong technical expertise in ASC 805 and the specific valuation methodologies unique to financial institutions and bank reporting.

• Proven history of leading high-performing project teams, with an emphasis on converting complex valuation concepts into actionable guidance for staff.

• Exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to effectively defend intricate valuation assumptions to audit partners, clients, and regulatory reviewers.
