Futures Team Member

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Foster and enhance relationships with stakeholders across various sectors, expanding the coalition while maintaining its core integrity.

• Oversee program operations and execution by coordinating across different workstreams, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring that multi-stakeholder projects progress on achievable timelines.

• Assist in the planning and initiation of new domain initiatives and/or grantmaking efforts.

• Help organize and facilitate convenings, briefings, and workshops.

• Provide communications support by collaborating with FLI's communications team to aid in launches, media engagements, and public events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in project or program management, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet ambitious deadlines.

• Preference for applicants residing in the United States.

• A genuine intellectual curiosity about AI, technology policy, and the fundamental questions regarding a positive human future in relation to AI.

• Strong interpersonal abilities and a talent for cultivating trusting partnerships, irrespective of political affiliations.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-expert audiences.

• Ability to thrive in a remote work setting. You are self-motivated, effectively manage your own time and energy, and can translate your work into tangible results.

• Experience in launching or scaling initiatives, coalitions, or movements from conception through implementation to growth.

• Background in issue advocacy or campaigning.

• Prior work experience at the intersection of science/technology and policy, or direct experience in developing new technologies.
