Fundraising Specialist

📋 Description

• Demonstrated experience in fundraising within nonprofit organizations, focusing on rare diseases, healthcare, medical research, patient advocacy, or other mission-driven sectors.

• Proven track record of securing funds from individuals, major donors, corporations, foundations, grantmakers, or governmental entities.

• Experience in managing crowdfunding, peer-to-peer, or digital fundraising initiatives using platforms like GoFundMe or similar services.

• Strong abilities in grant research, proposal writing, donor communication, relationship management, and delivering presentations.

• Capability to convert intricate medical or scientific information into clear, credible, and persuasive messaging for donors.

• A resourceful and entrepreneurial mindset towards garnering support for a specialized cause with a limited global patient demographic.

• Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy encompassing individual contributions, major gifts, corporate collaborations, grants, sponsorships, and crowdfunding efforts.

• Identify, nurture, and connect with potential donors, foundations, corporations, government funding agencies, and strategic partners.

• Develop fundraising narratives, support cases, proposals, presentations, sponsorship packages, and communications aimed at donors.

• Organize and oversee digital fundraising campaigns via GoFundMe or similar platforms, utilizing email, social media, and other online avenues.

• Create donor stewardship programs that enhance relationships, promote recurring donations, and increase retention rates.

• Set fundraising goals, deadlines, budgets, reporting frameworks, and performance indicators.
