This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as an ambassador at events to promote the vision of READ Foundation while upholding the charity’s reputation and profile.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with high-net-worth individuals, potential donors, and existing supporters to maximize contributions.
• Advocate for philanthropic engagement and initiatives to ensure the organization is optimizing opportunities for the highest returns.
• Organize regular fundraising events and dinners, and oversee the development and management of volunteers.
• Conduct frequent meetings with the National Fundraising Manager UK to assess the progress and success of established targets and objectives.
• Operate consistently within the guidelines of the Institute of Fundraising best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Foster an innovative, positive, and creative environment by identifying new fundraising opportunities.
• Follow all stated policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook, including health and safety protocols.
• Enhance the capabilities of the READ Foundation team in major donor and community fundraising efforts.
• Identify and secure additional prospects by exploring various networks and sectors.
• Create, develop, and support volunteer teams across the region to assist the fundraising team.
• Build and maintain effective relationships to ensure excellent and consistent stewardship for supporters.
• Collaborate with broader fundraising networks and communities to discover engagement opportunities.
• Plan and manage fundraising events.
• Provide support and manage volunteers effectively.
• Serve as a primary point of contact in your region for all volunteer inquiries and support requests, ensuring timely and comprehensive responses while addressing any complaints.
• Act as a central point of contact for internal departments regarding volunteering requests, specifically for the Fundraising and UK Programmes teams.
• Supervise volunteers and interns within your region, focusing on skill development, engagement initiatives, and promoting a positive work atmosphere.
• Actively expand the READ Foundation’s volunteer database in your region by promoting volunteering opportunities, processing new volunteer applications, and conducting interviews for Volunteer Team Leaders.
• Recruit interns across your region for various departments to provide additional manpower support by preparing role profiles, posting job advertisements, and conducting interviews.
• Prepare volunteer resources, including collection buckets, t-shirts, merchandise, and donation forms for all volunteer activities.
• Design and implement local volunteering projects and outreach programs to increase public interaction with READ Foundation and enhance local relationships.
• Explore innovative ideas to maximize the potential of READ Foundation’s volunteering program.
• Undertake various administrative tasks to support the broader Volunteers Management team and HR department.
• Potential for occasional paid overseas travel with donors and deployments.
• Perform any other duties as directed and agreed upon with the National Fundraising Manager UK.
• Desirable experience in effectively managing a diverse portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Excellent communication skills to foster long-lasting relationships.
• Experience in event and project management.
• Previous experience in handling a demanding workload.
