This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the financial oversight, reporting, and operational efficiency of specified impact investment funds, including place-based affordable housing initiatives.
• Report directly to the Director of Fund Management.
• Review and authorize quarterly and annual financial statements, investor reports, CECL impairment, and performance assessments.
• Evaluate fund-level performance, focusing on income statements, balance sheets, capital accounts, and portfolio returns.
• Deliver quarterly fund performance summaries to executive leadership and LISC Finance.
• Supervise and regulate fund-level expenditures, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Oversee management fees and other obligations at the fund level.
• Assist in preparing impact and performance reporting documents.
• Direct capital call and distribution procedures, including construction draw reconciliation, timing of the pipeline, and fund liquidity.
• Track portfolio cash flows and coordinate deployment with Asset Management and Investments.
• Maintain fund models, validate assumptions and outputs, and disseminate crucial insights.
• Review and confirm capital account activities and investor allocations.
• Identify and escalate risks associated with liquidity, timing, or concentration within the portfolio.
• Prepare decks and reporting materials for investors.
• Support investor meetings, analyses, fund-specific inquiries, and presentations regarding financial performance, outlook, and strategy.
• Ensure the timely distribution of quarterly and annual investor reports.
• Collaborate with Investments, Asset Management, Legal, Compliance, and LISC shared services on documentation and reporting.
• Enhance fund management processes, policies, systems, and reporting tools.
• Partner on fund strategy, cash management, distributions, fundraising, and investment allocation and structuring.
• Supervise and mentor a Financial Analyst.
• Ensure appropriate workload distribution and resource allocation.
• Provide performance feedback and encourage professional growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• At least 6 years of experience in fund management, private equity, real estate investment management, financial services, or community development finance.
• Proven experience in managing fund-level financial reporting, capital accounts, capital calls, and investor reporting processes.
• Comprehensive understanding of real estate investment structures and fund economics, including waterfall calculations, capital allocations, and fee structures.
• Experience with affordable housing, impact investment funds, or place-based real estate vehicles is preferred.
• Familiarity with LIHTC, HTC, or NMTC is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including financial modeling and complex reconciliations.
• Experience with fund accounting or financial reporting systems is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with investments, asset management, legal, compliance, and finance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, exercise sound judgment, work independently, and stay committed to mission-driven, impact-oriented investment goals.
• CFA, MBA, MPA, or other relevant advanced degrees are preferred.
