Functional Rehabilitation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, oversee, and execute innovative and goal-oriented rehabilitation strategies focused on helping plan members return to work.

• Foster positive relationships through regular communication and collaboration with plan sponsors, plan members, treatment providers, and internal partners (such as case managers, mental health specialists, and disability specialists) to ensure successful case resolutions leading to a return to work.

• Manage vendors and budgets to guarantee that the most effective and efficient treatments are accessible to our plan members.

• Perform daily administrative tasks, including timely responses to emails and phone calls.

• Exhibit resilience, emotional intelligence, and compassion when interacting with plan members, particularly when conveying challenging messages.

⛳️ Requirements

• A post-secondary diploma, CEGEP (DEC or DEP), or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related program.

• Preference will be given to candidates with educational backgrounds in Health Sciences and direct experience in a rehabilitation environment.

• Strong understanding of Rehabilitation Industry Standards, disability insurance, medical terminology, and best practices in Disability and Rehabilitation management.

• Fully bilingual (French/English): The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively in both English and French to assist clients from various jurisdictions outside Quebec.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven ability to make impactful decisions efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines.

• Comfortable and proficient in managing both incoming and outgoing calls.

• Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills are essential for managing a variety of tasks.

• A valid driver’s license is required, as travel to various locations may be necessary.
