Functional Lead, Production Accounting – ProCount Conversion

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee functional tasks associated with the conversion and implementation of the ProCount system.

• Convert production accounting business needs and procedures into system configurations and functional solutions.

• Assist with allocation, DOI, production-to-revenue, and related reconciliation tasks.

• Confirm the accuracy of production and accounting data throughout the conversion process.

• Work in conjunction with data engineers on datasets, SQL queries, flat files, and data validation.

• Create and implement User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel testing, and reconciliation/validation activities.

• Examine data inconsistencies, identify root causes, and propose suitable resolutions.

• Aid in the integration and validation of data flows across SCADA, production, and revenue systems.

• Collaborate with accounting, operations, IT, and technical teams.

• Offer functional leadership during the conversion and assist in establishing dependable ongoing production accounting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–15+ years of experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in production accounting, including allocation, DOI, and production-to-revenue processes.

• Practical experience with ProCount.

• Background in system implementations, migrations, or conversions.

• Familiarity with data validation, UAT, parallel testing, and reconciliation.

• Proficient in working with datasets, SQL, flat files, and data validation alongside data engineers and technical teams.

• Capability to translate business and production accounting requirements into system configurations and functional solutions.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

• Nice-to-have: experience in supporting mergers & acquisitions or acquisition-related system conversions.

• Nice-to-have: familiarity with SCADA → Production → Revenue data integrations and flows.

• Nice-to-have: experience in developing or working with reconciliation and data validation frameworks.

• Nice-to-have: experience with multiple production accounting systems or acquired assets.
