Functional Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Identify customer requirements and confirm them with the customer for validation.

• Acquire knowledge, articulate, configure, and design solutions that meet customer needs.

• Take ownership of resolving customer requirements and addressing functional or technical challenges.

• Establish and nurture relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

• Conduct customer workshops to facilitate solution implementation.

• Educate project teams and end-users on the business solution.

• Generate requirements, design, configuration, test, and cutover documentation.

• Serve as a liaison between customers and Enable teams throughout implementations and support.

• Manage multiple implementation and support projects concurrently.

• Offer solution design and triage assistance to customers.

• Communicate customer requirements to development team members.

• Ensure the quality of software customizations against agreed-upon customer requirements.

• Create Business Requirements Documentation, Solution Design, Configuration, and Functional Design Documents.

• Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of proposed solution designs.

• Facilitate the resolution of functional and technical troubleshooting.

• Aid in the delivery of project and support issue resolutions.

• Draft test scripts and carry out testing procedures.

• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.

• Take on additional tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Ensure billable work is accurately billed and optimize billable opportunities.

• Log timesheets daily and submit them on a weekly basis.

• Travel as necessary, typically up to 20%, occasionally up to 50% or more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ERP implementations, either within the implementing organization or as an implementation partner.

• Proficient in Business Analysis, capable of capturing business requirements, documenting them, and securing agreement with the customer.

• Develop and finalize Acceptance Criteria for Solution Designs in collaboration with the Customer.

• Possess configuration certification for setting up ERP solutions that fulfill business requirements.

• Efficiently triage and troubleshoot both existing designs and new solution designs with precision.

• Display a working knowledge of the Order to Cash or Procure to Pay processes.

• Intermediate understanding of Trade Spend terminology, various types of trade spend, and the business rationale for tracking it.

• Intermediate grasp of sales/purchase order terminology and the generation of prices/discounts.

• Demonstrate understanding of a Profit and Loss Statement.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting journal entries, T-accounts, accruals, and settlements.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to convey ideas and solutions in a clear and concise manner.

• Experience in creating implementation documents such as Business Requirements Documents, Functional Design Documents, Configuration Documents, and Test Scripts.

• Experience in writing test scripts and validating solutions against defined business requirements.

• Relevant post-secondary qualification in business administration, Information Technology Systems, or ERP Certification.

• Experience in defining requirements and developing solution designs.

• Background in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing with an understanding of related business processes.

• ERP Functional Certifications.
