This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze and reverse-engineer business, functional, and technical requirements directly from the existing VistA/MUMPS Prosthetics module — deriving current-state rules and workflows from system functionality rather than initiating from user interviews.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workflow analyses, gap assessments, and facilitate working sessions.
• Convert business needs into user stories, epics, process flows, requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria.
• Support initiatives involving legacy VistA/MUMPS-based healthcare systems and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with technical teams, architects, product owners, and project managers to ensure that business objectives align with technical solutions.
• Analyze both current-state and future-state business processes to identify opportunities for modernization and operational enhancements.
• Assist with Agile delivery processes including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release validation.
• Help with healthcare workflow analysis, interoperability requirements, and system integration initiatives.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, workflow diagrams, meeting minutes, and process documentation.
• Support change management, training, and communication activities with stakeholders.
• Participate in system testing, validation efforts, and issue resolution activities.
• Ensure that requirements and solutions comply with VA policies, operational needs, and federal compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise IT or healthcare modernization initiatives.
• Proven experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for complex systems and applications.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and requirements management processes.
• Functional comprehension of how VA VistA and the Prosthetics module operate — including ordering, procurement, fitting, claims, and inventory workflows — adequate to extract and validate business rules directly from existing system behavior.
• Experience in facilitating stakeholder discussions and translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visio, or similar platforms.
• Comprehensive benefits that provide options designed to meet both personal and family needs.
