Functional Application Architect – Consumption Billing, Entitlement Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete functional design for consumption-based billing solutions utilizing Metronome integrated with Salesforce CRM and associated systems.

• Convert product, pricing, and monetization strategies into comprehensive functional architectures for billing and entitlement systems.

• Create scalable models for usage-based pricing, metering, rating, and billing workflows.

• Establish entitlement frameworks that support named-user and concurrent-user licensing models within Trimble’s Entitlement Management System (EMS).

• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and GTM teams to integrate new products into consumption-based billing models.

• Define structures for product catalogs, pricing configurations, usage metrics, and billing rules.

• Lead the migration from legacy entitlement systems to Trimble’s EMS platform.

• Transform epics and business requirements into detailed user stories with explicit acceptance criteria.

• Serve as the primary functional liaison between Product, Finance, Engineering, and Operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Over 6 years of experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically with billing, entitlement, or monetization platforms.

• Extensive experience with Metronome or comparable consumption-based billing systems.

• Proven track record in working with entitlement management systems and various licensing models (named-user, concurrent-user).

• Demonstrated success in migrating from legacy systems to contemporary platforms.

• Proven ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams across different time zones.

• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence.

• A thorough understanding of REST APIs and proficiency in using Postman tools is a significant advantage for this position.

• Strong grasp of usage-based pricing, billing processes, and entitlement frameworks.
