Functional Analyst, Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Analyze business needs and convert them into detailed functional specifications for development.

• Create functional and technical documentation outlining workflows, business rules, integrations, exceptions, and use cases.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine the backlog and establish the Definition of Ready.

• Work alongside developers to evaluate technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, and impacts.

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with internal and/or external stakeholders.

• Define and document precise, measurable acceptance criteria.

• Assist the team in estimating efforts.

• Validate outputs through functional testing and ensure compliance with acceptance criteria.

• Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and areas for improvement.

• Aid the support team in incident analysis, functional diagnostics, and root cause identification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.

• Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.

• Expertise in translating business needs into technical or functional specifications.

• Proficient in process modeling and drafting use case scenarios.

• Experience working in agile development settings (Scrum/Kanban).

• Desirable: experience with system integrations and API analysis.

• Familiarity with issue or requirement management tools (Jira or similar).

• Ability to create acceptance criteria and conduct functional tests.

• Capability to perform impact analysis and validate solutions.

• Strong technical communication skills to liaise between business areas and developers.

• Knowledge of SAP Business One is advantageous.

• Familiarity with testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, etc.) is a plus.

• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence is beneficial.

• Familiarity with e-commerce and/or marketplace environments is an added advantage.
