This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• During your first week of onboarding, you will gain comprehensive knowledge about our company, teams, and vision.
• You will undergo technical training to familiarize yourself with the application, accounting concepts, our code stack (which includes Rails, React, TypeScript, ES6, Jest, AWS), and our CI/CD procedures.
• You will be integrated into your squad, where you will learn about the squad's scope, roles, and responsibilities.
• A “tech buddy,” a senior software engineer, will be assigned to assist you daily with the technical knowledge required for your role.
• You will start by tackling what we refer to as “good first issues,” helping you become acquainted with the development environment, code structure, tools, and the squad's scope.
• You will have the opportunity to take ownership of and be accountable for specific features or projects managed by the squad.
• You will play a crucial role in scaling the Pennylane application from over 30,000 clients to millions of customers.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• A balanced combination of technical, business, and product skills.
• A collaborative team player experienced in an agile work environment.
• A passion for tackling challenges and solving complex problems (accounting is intricate across Europe).
• An empathetic approach towards users with a commitment to addressing their genuine issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to express your ideas clearly.
• The flexibility to work remotely from your country of residence, as long as it is within Europe and a maximum of two hours difference from Central European Summer Time (CEST).
