This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
β’ Design and maintain user-facing applications utilizing React.js and contemporary front-end technologies.
β’ Create and enhance the Ruby on Rails API gateway layer for integration with Java microservices.
β’ Assist and augment back-end microservices leveraging Java Spring Boot.
β’ Evaluate technical specifications and develop as well as debug code to meet design goals.
β’ Compose thorough tests for front-end components and API connections.
β’ Detect, investigate, and rectify defects during both development and testing stages.
β’ Guarantee smooth integration of functional, security, and performance criteria throughout the entire stack.
β’ Work alongside UX/UI designers to create accessible and user-friendly interfaces.
β’ Implement application design and development across various technology domains.
β’ Configure software products and systems to facilitate code deployment.
β’ Create prototypes for products and platforms.
β’ Monitor software application performance and collaborate with project teams to address intricate challenges.
β’ Participate in the complete agile development life cycle.
β’ Partner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver technical solutions.
β’ At least 3 years of professional experience.
β’ Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
β’ Familiarity with CSS/SASS, responsive design, and best practices in front-end development.
β’ Understanding of state management patterns such as Redux or Context API.
β’ Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, especially with API-only applications and HTTP client integration patterns.
β’ Experience with Java 11+ and Spring Boot for developing microservices.
β’ Knowledge of REST API design, usage, and JSON data management.
β’ Comprehension of service-oriented architecture and microservices patterns.
β’ Experience with testing frameworks, including Jest and React Testing Library.
β’ Proficiency in Git version control and agile development processes.
β’ Background in developing multiple production web applications using Java, JavaScript, Grails, or Ruby on Rails.
β’ At least 2 years of experience with Java-based MVC frameworks or JavaScript/mobile frameworks.
β’ Demonstrated experience utilizing HTML5/CSS3 in various responsive web applications.
β’ Public Trust clearance level.
