This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Development and enhancement of frontend applications utilizing Angular and TypeScript in enterprise-level projects.
• Design and development of backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Creation of REST APIs and data access mechanisms via Hibernate.
• Involvement in microservice architectures, from individual services to integration within existing system environments.
• Execution of UX/UI designs in partnership with the design team.
• Implementation of DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and container deployments on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Conducting code reviews, testing, and ensuring quality assurance.
• Collaboration within agile, multidisciplinary client teams.
• Sharing best practices and investigating new technologies.
• A degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or completed vocational training as an Application Development Specialist (Fachinformatiker/in Anwendungsentwicklung) or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of pertinent professional experience in software development.
• Proficient in fullstack development with a focus on frontend technologies.
• Practical experience with Angular, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring / Spring Boot, REST, and JSON.
• Proficient in using Git, Maven, and Hibernate.
• Experience with frontend applications and microservices.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of container and cloud platforms, ideally Kubernetes / OpenShift, Helm, and GitLab.
• Preferably experienced with applications on Google Cloud.
• Advantageous: experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Advantageous: experience with Kafka or similar messaging and integration solutions.
• Business-fluent German skills at a minimum C1 level.
