This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +12 more states.
β’ Design, implement, evaluate, and instruct online courses within the Social Work programs, ensuring they meet program objectives and accreditation requirements.
β’ Guide and assist students, adjunct faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to enhance student achievement and uphold program quality.
β’ Actively participate in field education activities, including aiding students in obtaining, navigating, and successfully completing fieldwork placements in partnership with community organizations and agencies.
β’ Aid in the organization, oversight, and assessment of field placements to ensure compliance with CSWE competencies and program standards.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with community organizations to broaden and maintain high-quality field placement opportunities.
β’ Engage in service to the discipline, profession, and institution, including participation in committees and community involvement, both within and outside the university.
β’ Exhibit professional and collegial behavior that promotes mutual respect, trust, transparent communication, and proper confidentiality with faculty, staff, and university administration.
β’ Contribute to the continual development, assessment, and improvement of the program.
β’ Carry out additional duties and projects as assigned in collaboration with the Dean, consistent with the faculty role expectations specified in the Faculty Manual.
β’ Earned Doctorate (PhD, DSW, or a closely related field) in Social Work or a related area from an accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion by the start date.
β’ Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.
β’ A minimum of two (2) years of professional practice experience in social work after obtaining the MSW.
β’ Proven experience in field education, including supervision, coordination, or teaching in practicum/fieldwork environments.
β’ Demonstrated capability to engage with, support, and mentor students in securing and successfully completing fieldwork placements, including collaboration with community partners and agencies.
β’ Experience teaching in higher education, preferably in online asynchronous formats.
β’ Strong commitment to student-centered teaching and supporting a diverse population of adult learners.
β’ Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
β’ Proven expertise in developing and delivering current, market-relevant, and engaging curriculum, assessments, and learning activities in an online-first Learning Management System (LMS).
β’ Experience utilizing data-informed strategies to improve student success and retention.
β’ Ability to work collegially and collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and professionals across various disciplines.
