Full Stack Software Engineer – Fulfillment Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create services and APIs utilizing Java or Kotlin

• Implement frontend features using TypeScript along with React or Preact

• Connect order management, marketplace, carrier, and various third-party systems through well-designed interfaces

• Develop event-driven integrations, including those with Apache Kafka

• Construct applications and data flows related to orders, shipping, tracking, returns, and partner performance

• Collaborate with AWS and actively engage in infrastructure and deployment management through Infrastructure as Code

• Maintain high software quality and platform stability through automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, and observability

• Participate in architectural and technology decisions while helping to enhance shared engineering standards

• Work in close partnership with Product Management, Data, and the business

• Take full responsibility for solutions from conception to production operation

• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools and assess their outcomes

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in full-stack or backend software development

• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin and familiarity with contemporary backend architectures and APIs

• Solid understanding of TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, preferably React or Preact

• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming technologies and distributed systems

• Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform

• Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases

• Experience in automated testing and a strong commitment to producing maintainable, testable code

• Understanding of CI/CD, monitoring, and observability practices

• Independent, pragmatic, and collaborative working style

• Proficiency in German at least at B2 level and fluent in English

• Nice to have: Experience with fulfillment, order management, logistics, or marketplace systems

• Nice to have: Knowledge of carrier, tracking, or shipping processes

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CDK

• Nice to have: Knowledge of AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, or DynamoDB

• Nice to have: Experience with micro-frontends or self-contained systems

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Playwright, Jest/Vitest, JUnit, or Testcontainers

• Nice to have: Experience with Python

• Nice to have: Background in e-commerce, marketplace, or platform environments
