Full-stack Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services utilizing FastAPI, Python, and asynchronous patterns.

• Create and enhance LLM-driven pipeline components for tasks such as classification, matching, risk assessment, synthesis, and draft generation.

• Implement comprehensive structured-output validation, retries, and error handling for model invocations.

• Optimize semantic search capabilities using PostgreSQL and pgvector to ensure high-quality retrieval of legal precedents.

• Expand data models and Alembic migrations by incorporating backward-compatible schema modifications.

• Construct and refine frontend workflows in React and TypeScript, including dashboard functionalities, document browsing, extraction reviews, and defense generation.

• Integrate real-time progress notifications through WebSockets.

• Ensure secure authentication and authorization by utilizing Keycloak, OIDC, and JWT.

• Develop tests for both backend and frontend functionalities and support CI quality standards.

• Enhance observability through tracing, structured logging, and operational dashboards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in production environments.

• Proficient in Python backend development, particularly with FastAPI or a similar asynchronous framework.

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.

• Practical experience with integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with semantic search and vector retrieval technologies like pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, or comparable systems.

• At least 3 years of experience in React and TypeScript development.

• Hands-on experience with OAuth, OIDC, and JWT authentication workflows.

• A strong testing background encompassing unit, integration, and API testing methodologies.
