Full-Stack Engineer – Java, Next.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Become a part of an innovative team focused on creating an AI-driven logistics infrastructure platform.

• Design and sustain a domain-centric backend alongside a Next.js frontend.

• Implement testing procedures and take ownership of architectural decisions involving AI-driven code generation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Architecture and design patterns are crucial (this is the primary focus — technical stack follows):

• - Domain-Driven Design (DDD) — including bounded contexts, aggregates, aggregate roots, value objects, domain events, and ubiquitous language.

• - Hexagonal architecture (ports & adapters).

• - CQRS (command/query responsibility segregation).

• - Saga pattern (for distributed transaction coordination).

• - Outbox pattern (ensuring reliable event delivery).

• - Event sourcing and managing eventual consistency at scale.

• - Designing systems for high throughput with strong and eventual consistency.

• Backend technologies:

• - Java (primary programming language).

• - Kafka (for event streaming).

• - PostgreSQL.

• - Redis.

• - Blob storage / S3.

• - Parquet, Delta files.

• - Serialization formats: Protobuf, Avro, JSON.

• - gRPC, REST.

• - CDC (Change Data Capture) via Debezium.

• Frontend technologies:

• - Next.js (utilizing the backend-for-frontend pattern).

• - JavaScript, TypeScript.

• - MUI (Material UI).

• - Figma (for design handoff).

• - Integration with REST, JSON, Protobuf, gRPC from the frontend.

• - Familiarity with PostgreSQL (on the read side).

• What we are specifically NOT seeking:

• - Engineers familiar with the tech stack but lacking practical experience applying DDD/CQRS/Saga/Hexagonal patterns in real-world scenarios.

• - Candidates who require onboarding time to grasp these concepts — there is insufficient time before the September start.

• - Individuals who specialize solely in backend or frontend without a comprehensive full-stack capability across this technology stack.
