Full Stack Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain features throughout the entire stack.

• Create front-end applications using React and React Native for both web and mobile platforms.

• Build back-end systems employing PHP, associated frameworks, Node.js, RESTful APIs, and microservices.

• Design database structures, integrations, and performance optimizations.

• Contribute to the gradual modernization of existing systems.

• Identify and resolve production issues while ensuring timely delivery of new features.

• Work collaboratively with designers, product managers, and AI teams to translate requirements into user-centric solutions.

• Maintain high performance, security, and scalability across all systems.

• Develop mobile experiences using React Native or similar technologies and connect them with backend services.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Engage in code reviews and share knowledge with peers.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance performance across web, mobile, and backend components.

• Stay updated with the latest tools, frameworks, and best practices in full-stack and mobile development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer.

• Individual contributor role emphasizing practical execution over architectural oversight.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and contemporary frameworks (React, React Native, Node.js).

• Skilled in PHP or a similar back-end framework (Laravel, Symfony, or equivalent).

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and database management systems (SQL/NoSQL).

• Experience in integrating front-end and mobile applications with back-end APIs.

• Familiarity with mobile-specific issues, such as app store submissions and push notifications.

• Solid understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

• A passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world challenges.

• Proficiency with modern AI-driven tools, like Claude Code.

• Experience with mobile analytics platforms (Firebase, LogRocket, Mixpanel) is a plus.

• Familiarity with workforce management, HR compliance, or payroll systems is a bonus.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards for both web and mobile is a bonus.
