Full-Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Utilize AI agents like Claude Code and Cursor to develop, construct, troubleshoot, and enhance software solutions.

• Develop and advance Derin’s client-facing results dashboard and participant web application using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Incorporate data visualizations, filters, and multilingual survey functionalities.

• Design and create APIs utilizing NestJS, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.

• Contribute to Python FastAPI services, focusing on access control, data exports, and data retention features.

• Transform product specifications and designs into reusable components within the shared design system.

• Enhance performance and reliability through server-side rendering, caching, pagination, and performance optimization.

• Ensure quality through automated testing, code reviews, and enhanced observability.

• Assist in managing the develop-to-production release process, which includes hotfixes and updates for dependencies and security.

• Integrate security and privacy measures when handling sensitive participant data in a SOC 2 and HIPAA-compliant setting.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and backend/data engineers.

• Contribute to the engineering culture as the company expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web application development using TypeScript.

• Extensive production experience with React and Next.js, including App Router and server components/SSR.

• Background in building and maintaining backend APIs on a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Node.js, NestJS or similar frameworks, and Python, FastAPI or similar technologies.

• Proficiency in TypeScript is essential; productivity in Python and the capability to read, modify, and deploy Python service code.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (mandatory).

• Experience in building data-intensive interfaces, such as dashboards, charts, tables, and complex filtering options.

• Familiarity with testing tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or pytest.

• Experience with code reviews and CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with a component library or design system and internationalization is advantageous.

• Experience with LLM-powered features is highly desirable.

• Daily use of agentic tools such as Claude Code and Cursor; capability to configure context, rules, MCP servers, and subagents, and assess their output.

• A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Self-sufficient, proactive, and capable of delivering features from start to finish with minimal oversight.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Comfortable working remotely with significant overlap with US Eastern and UK time zones.
