Full Stack Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver features with moderate complexity independently and on schedule by breaking work into manageable tasks, providing accurate estimates with some uncertainties, and identifying risks early.

• Develop end-to-end features utilizing Python services and APIs, MongoDB data models, and React/TypeScript interfaces.

• Take ownership of features and components within the product area, ensuring their quality and ongoing maintenance.

• Engage in design discussions, offering viable alternatives and creating clear technical designs.

• Write clean, well-tested, and readable code while enhancing automated testing practices and coverage.

• Actively participate in the on-call rotation, and independently troubleshoot and resolve small to medium bugs, incidents, and issues.

• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and enhancements in performance.

• Provide constructive and specific feedback during code reviews and informally mentor junior engineers.

• Create clear technical documentation and communicate updates, risks, and blockers effectively.

• Collaborate with the product team on Gravitate’s fuel logistics platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on building and deploying production software.

• Proficient in a server-side language (preferably Python) and TypeScript/React, or demonstrate deep expertise in one while showing a track record of mastering the other.

• Proven ability to independently deliver medium-sized features on time, despite having some unknowns.

• Capable of debugging and resolving small to medium issues independently across both frontend and backend systems.

• Experience in writing well-tested code, along with a working knowledge of CI/CD and deployment methodologies.

• Comfortable with participating in an on-call rotation for the product area you oversee.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce small to medium technical documents and provide constructive feedback during code reviews.

• Open to receiving feedback and proactive in acting upon it.

• Willingness to utilize and become proficient in AI-assisted development to enhance productivity.

• Hands-on experience with Python, React, TypeScript, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and GCP or Azure is a plus.

• Experience within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment is advantageous.

• Background in logistics, supply chain, or energy/fuel sectors is a plus.

• Familiarity with data-dense enterprise interfaces is a plus.

• AI engineering experience with production agentic systems and ML/operations models is a plus.
