Full Stack Developer – Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as a member of an Agile Scrum team, delivering software development and maintenance for the release of software in short sprint cycles.

• Responsible for activities related to the delivery of software solutions for customer-defined systems and projects, closely collaborating with software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile methodologies.

• Design, develop, and implement custom software and database applications for a range of legacy and modernized systems with minimal oversight.

• Contribute as a member of a product team, supporting colleagues and collaborating with a proactive attitude to ensure the success of both the product and the team.

• Enhance the product(s) being supported through continuous improvement.

• Actively engage in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations, retrospectives, and solution releases.

• Assist in release planning through conceptual design and the development/refinement of software engineering guidelines.

• Analyze complex project-related issues and develop innovative solutions involving scheduling, technology, methodologies, tools, and solution components.

• Ensure product quality and timely work completion by providing advice and guidance, resolving issues to meet objectives, and generating periodic performance reports.

• Mentor junior team members to foster their growth and development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of passing a CBP background investigation.

• A college degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related field.

• Equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• At least seven (7) years of relevant technical experience in software design, development, and implementation within a containerized Linux environment.

• Proven professional experience with our technology stack: Python, PostgreSQL, Java Spring Boot, Angular, microservices architecture, and AWS.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Angular Framework (including TypeScript, Angular Material, and state management) and experience in creating RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Extensive expertise in programming languages/libraries such as Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.

• Experience in developing and maintaining Python applications, APIs, automation scripts, or backend services in an enterprise environment, along with familiarity with common Python frameworks and libraries.

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead design discussions and build and nurture positive relationships while fostering a collaborative environment.

• Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred).

• Familiarity with SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL Server databases is a plus.
