Full Stack Developer, PHP, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and create full stack web applications utilizing PHP/Laravel, ensuring scalable architectures capable of supporting a large number of simultaneous users.

• Develop responsive and engaging user interfaces using contemporary JavaScript, CSS frameworks, and frontend libraries.

• Construct robust RESTful APIs and web services for seamless data exchange and third-party integrations.

• Design and execute database integrations for effective data storage and retrieval.

• Write Python scripts for data processing, web scraping, APIs, and automation tasks.

• Deploy and manage web applications on AWS utilizing EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.

• Evaluate and enhance web application performance through caching strategies and efficient loading methods.

• Develop unit and integration test suites to ensure the quality of applications.

• Create systems that address critical organizational challenges and promote data utilization and insights.

• Develop interactive visualizations, dashboards, and content management systems.

• Comprehend client challenges and spearhead innovation in enterprise-level web applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in PHP and Laravel, including MVC architecture and Eloquent ORM.

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and experience with at least one of the frameworks: React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Solid programming skills in Python for scripting, automation, and web development frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, along with web application data optimization.

• Familiarity with deploying web applications using AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and Route 53.

• Proficient in Git, modern IDEs, Composer, npm/yarn, and debugging tools.

• Understanding of HTTP protocols, web security principles, API design, and responsive design frameworks.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in development and/or software engineering with PHP/Laravel and Python.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex web application challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for effective cross-functional teamwork.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating full stack development projects.

• U.S. citizenship required.

• Capability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
