This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Design, construct, and sustain ELT pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and transforming data within Snowflake.
• Oversee data ingestion from car wash operational platforms, including DRB and similar POS and site controller systems.
• Create tested and documented dbt models along with efficient SQL transformations.
• Standardize metrics related to the car wash domain across various brands and locations.
• Manage pipeline scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, failure handling, and ensure data freshness.
• Develop integrations between source applications, APIs, Snowflake, and downstream consumers utilizing AWS.
• Facilitate data integration for acquisitions and the opening of new sites.
• Analyze operational data to address business inquiries and identify trends and anomalies.
• Explore topics related to membership conversion, promotions, volume, and retention.
• Create and sustain Power BI dashboards and semantic models using DAX.
• Leverage AI and LLM tools, including MCP servers, to automate data tasks and prototype intelligent data services.
• Write documented, version-controlled code; engage in code reviews; and maintain standards for data quality, testing, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, analysts, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to define problems, share findings, and refine solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Approximately three years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar technical position.
• Proficient in SQL with a strong understanding of relational design, indexing, clustering, and query performance.
• Practical experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse, with a strong desire to deepen knowledge of Snowflake.
• Experience in building and maintaining tested and documented dbt models.
• Working knowledge of AWS data services, including S3, Lambda, Glue, and IAM.
• Experience in integrating applications, APIs, and data repositories into orchestrated pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability in rigorous data analysis and effectively communicating findings.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including data models, DAX, and dashboard design.
• Familiarity with LLM APIs, AI-assisted workflows, and MCP servers or similar integration patterns.
• Knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices.
• Capability to present technical results to non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: experience with car wash operational platforms such as DRB, Sonny’s, or Washify.
• Preferred: experience with POS and membership data in multi-site settings.
• Preferred: background in car wash, convenience retail, quick-service restaurants, fitness, or similar multi-unit businesses.
• Preferred: experience in acquisition, conversion, or data integration for new sites.
• Preferred: familiarity with Airflow, Dagster, or dbt Cloud jobs.
• Preferred: knowledge of Python, Docker, Terraform, MCP servers, agents, AI APIs, dimensional modeling, and Snowflake administration or optimization.
