Full Stack Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Valiant Solutions in their agile software development efforts for a Federal Government client focused on environmental initiatives.

• Design and sustain information systems that enable tracking and reporting of environmental metrics.

• Ensure that information systems are secure, adhere to accessibility standards, and support the agency's operational processes.

• Engage in all stages of the Agile software development life cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend business needs and deliver software solutions.

• Guarantee that projects are finished on schedule and within budget constraints.

• Adhere to software development methodologies and industry best practices.

• Ensure that code is maintainable, scalable, and easy to test.

• Create and update technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and release notes.

• Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.

• Stay up-to-date with new software development technologies and trends.

• Suggest tools and techniques to enhance the development process.

• Implement UX and UI design principles.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Developer.

• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), for managing scalable and secure applications.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, emphasizing database design, optimization, and management.

• Experience in implementing event-driven architecture.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Comprehensive understanding and practical experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Strong dedication to producing high-quality software products.

• Familiarity with UX and UI design principles.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience with RabbitMQ is highly desirable.

• Proficient in using Jira, Trello, Microsoft Teams or Slack, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CircleCI, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, and JSON.

• Ability to work during core business hours in alignment with colleagues and Valiant’s clients.
