Full Stack AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize first-principles thinking to decompose complex challenges and deliver sustainable solutions.

• Grasp business requirements and create comprehensive product experiences that encompass backend services, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.

• Design, scale, and oversee infrastructure that includes containerized microservices, orchestration pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.

• Enhance and continuously optimize the observability of systems and infrastructure at scale.

• Collaborate closely with clinical specialists and fellow engineers to develop highly scalable and clinically precise systems that provide actionable insights.

• Refine slow, fragile, or overly complex systems.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues on a daily basis, taking ownership from alert to root cause and prevention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in creating high-quality code and infrastructure.

• More than 3 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems, including microservices, event-driven architecture, or pipeline orchestration.

• At least 2 years of experience with AWS or Google Cloud.

• Practical experience building across the stack, including backend services using Python, Node, or similar technologies, and frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, and CSS.

• Knowledge of containerization, cloud-native deployment patterns, and common architectural patterns for scalable systems.

• Strong debugging skills, including tracing issues through multiple services, analyzing logs, forming hypotheses, and resolving problems under pressure.

• Demonstrated curiosity about the latest advancements in generative AI and a thoughtful viewpoint on the applicability of AI tools.

• High levels of ownership and accountability.

• Experience in healthcare, clinical data, or value-based care (preferred).

• Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar (preferred).

• Experience with Firestore, BigQuery, or other GCP data services (preferred).
