• Collaborate on the CDN and caching strategies alongside platform and infrastructure teams, addressing cache keys, Vary, surrogate keys, and edge logic.

• Mentor and develop a team of 4-6 frontend engineers, focusing on one-on-one meetings, growth plans, and performance evaluations.

• Take responsibility for team deliverables, including planning, prioritization, scoping, and setting realistic commitments.

• Work in partnership with product, design, backend, and DevOps teams on the roadmap and technical trade-offs.

• Enhance team efficiency by refining branching strategies, CI/CD processes, definitions of done, and release procedures.

• Proven experience in web performance optimization and an understanding of how rendering strategies impact performance.

• Strong understanding of how browsers, CDNs, and caching layers function in a production environment.

• Demonstrated leadership in managing people, developing engineers, overseeing delivery processes, and navigating trade-offs under real-world constraints.

• **Nice to have**

• Experience with high-traffic, multi-brand, or multi-tenant platforms.

• Practical experience with observability tools (such as OpenTelemetry, SigNoz, or similar) and RUM.

• Familiarity with Fastly or similar CDNs at the VCL/edge-logic level.
