Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Developing and maintaining reusable UI components utilized across various company products.

• Contributing to the advancement of the organization-wide UI Kit and design system.

• Applying best practices in UI engineering and adhering to established coding standards.

• Assisting product teams with the integration of the UI Kit and ensuring consistent usage patterns.

• Collaborating closely with designers regarding component behavior, styling, and design handoff.

• Aiding in enhancing the quality, consistency, and maintainability of shared frontend code.

• Engaging in code reviews for the shared UI codebase and associated integrations.

• Contributing to processes, documentation, and practices related to frontend development.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience as a Frontend Engineer with a focus on JavaScript and React.

• Proficient hands-on experience within the React ecosystem.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).

• Extensive experience in building responsive web applications for both desktop and mobile browsers (HTML, CSS, React, Material UI).

• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility challenges and foundational client-side performance.

• Experience in an Agile work environment.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Russian.

• Practical experience with reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries.

• Good grasp of component-driven development tools and workflows (Storybook, MDX, visual testing).

• Familiarity with design tokens, theming, and principles of maintainable UI architecture.

• Experience collaborating with designers using tools like Figma and engaging in design handoff processes.

• Strong focus on UI quality, consistency, and the development of reusable components.

• Experience in integrating shared UI Kit components into applications.

• Good understanding of software testing fundamentals related to frontend applications (unit, UI, integration, component tests).

• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of designated UI Kit areas and tasks.

• Capability to work independently on well-defined challenges and seek assistance when necessary.

• Experience in participating in code reviews and adhering to coding standards.
