This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with the development team to create new features in web-based applications.
• Enhance and maintain the web application framework.
• Adhere to best practices to ensure the production of clean and secure software.
• Address defects and implement feedback from the product owner with assistance from the broader team.
• Develop automated unit tests.
• Investigate defects reported by stakeholders and end users, pinpointing root causes and providing suitable solutions.
• Participate in team retrospectives and workshops to promote continual improvement.
• Grasp business requirements to ensure task completion aligns with agile methodologies.
• Provide task estimations to the team.
• Design, build, and maintain web applications.
• Work alongside product, design, and back-end engineering teams to create intuitive, high-performing, and reliable user experiences.
• Practical experience in developing and maintaining front-end web applications using Next.js.
• Proficiency in CSS/Sass and UI component frameworks like MaterialUI, including theming capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in developing Next.js API backends to support front-end functionalities.
• Understanding of API integrations with backend services.
• Experience in writing automated unit tests with tools such as Jest / React Testing Library.
• Solid grasp of design principles and clean coding practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline environments.
• Commitment to producing high-quality code that meets the specified task requirements.
• Understanding of enterprise software development and its maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with tech leads, developers, product teams, QA, and business analysts.
• Awareness of application security compliance and the ability to raise concerns when necessary.
• Knowledge of the software product development lifecycle and testing processes.
• A professional and positive work approach, complemented by strong communication skills.
• Comfort in working both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in developing Next.js / React applications.
• Knowledge of API integrations.
• Proficient in TypeScript / Node.js.
