Frontend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the client's website by sustaining existing features, implementing enhancements, and assisting in the development of new functionalities as the product and business progress.

• On a daily basis, this position involves a combination of maintenance and new development responsibilities - ensuring the site remains fast, free of bugs, and aligned with brand standards while gradually implementing improvements to pages, components, and features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, enhance performance, and conduct ongoing site upkeep.

• Develop and refine pages and UI components in accordance with our design system.

• Enhance Algolia search and filtering functionalities for both venue and foodboard discovery.

• Integrate Firebase data into both new and existing web pages.

• Contribute to search engine optimization efforts, including structured data, metadata, and page performance improvements.

• Execute new features as dictated by the evolving product roadmap (such as city launches, new content types, leaderboards, etc.).

• Work collaboratively with our design and product teams to translate concepts into functional code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong production experience with Next.js and React.

• Proficiency in TypeScript.

• Practical experience with Firebase (Firestore and Storage).

• Familiarity with Algolia or equivalent search tools.

• Experience with AWS, demonstrating comfort in navigating AWS infrastructure.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

• Ability to work asynchronously and independently in a lean startup environment.

• Effective communication skills, enabling you to identify issues early, ask pertinent questions, and manage your time efficiently.
