This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Take ownership of, structure, and enhance the design system — including tokens, components, patterns, interaction standards, and visual language.
• Establish the visual quality benchmark for the product and ensure uniformity across all platforms.
• Convert brand and product strategies into a cohesive, scalable design language.
• Regularly assess the product for visual debt, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve quality.
• Create web interfaces directly in code, starting from wireframes and product specifications.
• Utilize structured design principles to produce clean, on-brand, conversion-oriented interfaces.
• Deliver UI for landing pages, onboarding processes, paywalls, editor experiences, and dashboards.
• Guarantee that designs are accessible, responsive, and high-performing across various devices.
• Implement designs utilizing Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS.
• Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and high-performance UI components.
• Ensure compatibility and consistency across different browsers.
• Assist in A/B test implementation — variant UI builds through GrowthBook.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and design leadership to produce refined UI.
• Convert wireframes and requirements into production-ready interfaces with minimal revisions.
• Set a high standard for design quality within the team — your contributions elevate the work of others.
• Over 5 years of experience in frontend design or design engineering.
• Outstanding design skills — a robust portfolio demonstrating taste, visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and conversion-focused thinking.
• Background as a designer transitioning into a developer, with advanced expertise in Figma. Must have begun as a UI/UX designer.
• Ability to autonomously create complete interfaces from high-level references, with an exceptional attention to detail as a fundamental expectation.
• Extensive experience with design systems — having built or significantly evolved one rather than just using one.
• Strong skills in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS — implementing your designs to a high standard.
• Familiarity with UI component libraries (NextUI, HeroUI, or similar).
• Capability to design and deliver UI independently without relying on a dedicated designer or Figma mockups.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS — producing clean, semantic, and maintainable code.
• Strong attention to detail — you prioritize pixel-perfect implementation.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• A portfolio showcasing both strong design and frontend work that has been successfully shipped.
• A mindset that includes strong opinions on design, supported by clear reasoning.
• An appreciation for both aesthetics and performance.
• Ability to transform vague briefs or wireframes into polished outputs with minimal guidance.
