📋 Description

• Design and implement features and enhancements for marketing websites (e.g. merchants.doordash.com, business.doordash.com, dasher.doordash.com) in a secure, efficient, and high-performing manner.

• Take ownership of front-end web development projects from initial scope through implementation and optimization, collaborating closely with Marketing, Design, Content, and Engineering teams.

• Write code that adheres to internal guidelines for style, maintainability, and best practices suitable for a high-scale web environment.

• Lead decisions regarding front-end architecture, managing component libraries, performance optimization strategies, and accessibility standards (ensuring WCAG compliance).

• Enhance web pages for optimal speed and scalability while preserving brand consistency and design integrity.

• Work in partnership with the Web Platforms team on CMS integration (Contentful), facilitating smooth content management experiences for Marketing teams.

• Develop responsive designs that perform seamlessly across various devices and browsers, adopting a mobile-first approach.

• Collaborate with Marketing teams to integrate tracking and analytics code, ensuring accurate measurement of user behavior and conversion metrics.

• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to other developers on front-end best practices and evolving web technologies.

• Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to define major initiatives, establish technical requirements, and achieve business goals.

• Identify and implement enhancements to the front-end codebase, focusing on performance optimizations, accessibility improvements, workflow efficiencies, and enhancing the developer experience.

• Stay updated with web technologies, frameworks, and best practices, contributing innovative ideas to improve our marketing websites.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3-6 years of professional front-end web development experience, preferably supporting marketing or growth teams.

• Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with proficiency in React/NextJS (Vue.js or Angular also considered).

• Experience with TypeScript and contemporary CSS methodologies (CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, Tailwind, or similar).

• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and experience in creating inclusive web experiences.

• Familiarity with modern deployment and hosting platforms (Vercel is highly preferred) and web applications.

• Experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful is highly preferred) and component-driven content architecture, using Storybook for component development.

• Knowledge of modern development workflows: Git, CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite experience is a plus), build tools (Webpack, Vite, Turborepo), and package managers.

• Proven ability to manage technical debt strategically and lead system modernization initiatives.

• Experience with lead generation form architecture, including validation, routing, API integrations, and bot prevention.

• Familiarity with implementing web analytics, managing data layers, and tag management (experience with Google Tag Manager is a plus).

• Knowledge of web performance optimization and SEO technical fundamentals, including meta tag management, structured data (JSON-LD), rendering, crawlability, canonical/hreflang strategies, sitemap generation, and Core Web Vitals optimization (programmatic SEO experience is a plus).

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills — capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in executing team operations: sprints, Jira, scoping, and Confluence documentation.

• Self-motivated individual able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to reason from first principles about how technologies function and affect outcomes.

• Experience integrating AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and MCPs into development workflows.
