Front-End Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Convert high-fidelity design concepts into pixel-perfect, efficient web experiences.

• Collaborate closely with brand and creative leadership to ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the build process, encompassing motion, interaction, typography, and spacing.

• Create and sustain reusable front-end components that are scalable across a dynamic marketing site.

• Manage the front-end relationship with our external creative partners, ensuring smooth handoffs and precise implementation.

• Contribute to and help uphold a robust design system — not merely a Figma library, but a dynamic and documented framework.

• Evaluate and enhance performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility without compromising visual integrity.

• Navigate seamlessly through headless CMS environments, static builds, and custom coding as project requirements dictate.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of front-end development experience, supported by a portfolio that showcases a genuine design sensibility — demonstrating not just functional code, but aesthetically pleasing functional code.

• Profound knowledge of HTML, CSS (including modern layout systems, custom properties, and animations), and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in developing marketing or brand websites where visual craftsmanship is a primary focus.

• Familiarity with component-based frameworks, preferably React.

• Practical experience with contemporary headless CMS platforms — Contentful is the main environment; familiarity with Sanity, Prismic, Storyblok, or similar is advantageous.

• A keen eye for typography rendering, spacing systems, motion timing, and the micro-details that elevate a site from good to exceptional.

• Experience working with design files at a high level of fidelity, enabling you to assess a Figma frame and immediately recognize potential challenges.

• Capacity to constructively challenge designs that may not translate well and suggest solutions that maintain their intent.
