Front End Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain contemporary frontend applications utilizing React, Next.js, Vue, and Nuxt.

• Create responsive and accessible user interfaces employing TypeScript, modern CSS frameworks, and component libraries.

• Construct GraphQL-driven frontend experiences with Apollo Client and integrate applications with backend APIs.

• Develop reusable component systems and sustain Histoire or Storybook-style component workflows.

• Execute frontend testing using Vitest and Playwright, encompassing end-to-end, visual regression, and accessibility testing.

• Create AI-native user experiences, including live chat interfaces leveraging the Vercel AI SDK.

• Develop interactive data visualizations using Chart.js and Recharts, with opportunities to engage with Three.js.

• Construct and enhance marketing pages centered on SEO, structured data, analytics, and conversion optimization.

• Assist with Flutter/Dart mobile development as necessary, including bloc/Cubit, go_router, dio/retrofit, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and health SDK integrations.

• Contribute to frontend experiences related to healthcare, involving FHIR, Health Gorilla, ICD-10, wearables APIs, HIPAA/PHI handling, consent, and audit logging when needed.

• Work with PDF/document pipelines and email templating using tools such as docling, PyMuPDF, and MJML when applicable.

• Engage in AI/LLM engineering projects involving streaming chat APIs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, embeddings, Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, and AWS Bedrock.

• Utilize observability and analytics tools including Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Datadog, and Posthog.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, including migrating AWS CodeBuild and GitLab CI pipelines when necessary.

• Deploy and manage Next.js/Nuxt applications using Vercel.

• Maintain Docker and docker-compose environments for local development.

• Collaborate effectively within multi-repository Git workflows, including mirrored GitLab and GitHub repositories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1 level minimum).

• A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

• Extensive experience with React, including Vite, Apollo Client (GraphQL), Redux Toolkit, React Router, Bootstrap, and Sass.

• Strong proficiency with Next.js, including TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, shadcn/ui, and Radix.

• Experience with Vue 3 and Nuxt 3–4, featuring Composition API, TypeScript, Nitro server routes, Tailwind, and reka-ui.

• Strong background in frontend testing utilizing Vitest and Playwright, including end-to-end, visual regression, and axe-core accessibility testing.

• Familiarity with Histoire or Storybook-style component development workflows.

• Experience in creating AI-native user experiences, particularly streaming chat interfaces with the Vercel AI SDK.

• Proficient in data visualization utilizing Chart.js or Recharts; experience with Three.js is a plus.

• Background in developing conversion-oriented marketing sites, incorporating SEO, structured data, Mixpanel, and hex.tech.

• Experience with CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and migrating AWS CodeBuild or GitLab CI pipelines.

• Basic understanding of AWS fundamentals, Docker-based deployments, ECS/CodeBuild, S3, and IAM basics.

• Proven experience deploying and managing Next.js/Nuxt applications using Vercel.

• Familiarity with using Docker and docker-compose for local development.

• Experience with Git multi-repository workflows, specifically involving mirrored GitLab and GitHub repositories.

• Acquainted with Agile methodologies and backlog management tools such as Jira or Linear.

• Prior experience in a startup environment is a desirable asset.
