Front-End Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design and develop functional, user-friendly web and mobile applications focused on usability.

• Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to websites.

• Utilize various markup languages to create web pages.

• Draft functional requirement documents and specifications.

• Produce high-quality mockups and prototypes within tight deadlines.

• Collaborate with back-end developers for coding and troubleshooting.

• Develop cascading style sheets (CSS) that ensure consistency across all browsers and platforms.

• Uphold graphic standards and branding across the product's interface.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies.

• Advocate for best practices in usability.

• Verify the technical viability of UI/UX designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

• More than 1 year of proven experience in information technology, particularly in application development, DevOps, and related fields.

• Over 2 years of experience as a Front-end Developer.

• Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.

• Proficient in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, jQuery, etc.

• Solid understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates.

• Basic skills in image editing tools for tasks like cropping, resizing, or making minor adjustments to images.

• Excellent grasp of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.

• Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.

• Experience with API integrations, particularly REST web services.

• Knowledge of Azure platforms.

• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring adherence in applications.

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging processes.

• Demonstrated sense of ownership and pride in work and its impact on the company's success.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Effective time-management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficiency in English: Advanced 80% - 90%.
