Front-End AI Co-op

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the marketing website and support the development of innovative user-facing features.

• Utilize AI coding assistants to streamline development processes and enhance code quality.

• Incorporate AI-driven functionalities into web interfaces, including chatbots, personalized content suggestions, and AI-enhanced search capabilities.

• Refactor and produce clean, reusable, and maintainable code in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Collaborate with design and backend teams to execute intuitive UI/UX designs, featuring AI-augmented user experiences.

• Engage in prompt engineering to refine AI tool outputs for development-related tasks.

• Enhance components for speed, accessibility, and compatibility across various browsers.

• Take part in team code reviews and agile development methodologies.

• Document AI processes and best practices for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program.

• At least six months of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with a front-end framework or library, such as React, Vue, or Angular.

• Experience with AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar in development projects.

• Full-time availability required from September through December 2026.

• Experience with Drupal is advantageous.

• Proficiency in using Git for version control is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of AI/ML concepts and how AI can enhance web applications.

• Experience in creating responsive and mobile-friendly layouts.

• Understanding of REST APIs and front-end integration with backend services, particularly AI/LLM APIs.

• Familiarity with prompt engineering and optimizing AI interactions.

• Experience integrating third-party AI services into web applications.

• Awareness of AI accessibility considerations and ethical AI implementation.

• A personal portfolio, GitHub profile, or side projects that demonstrate skills, especially with AI integration projects.

• Knowledge of analytics tools to evaluate AI feature performance and user engagement.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
