French Teacher – Substitute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver designated French course material in an online setting

• Provide teaching, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student proficiency

• Offer both synchronous and asynchronous educational experiences

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system

• Maintain the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion

• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Build positive relationships with families and communicate effectively with students and parents/learning coaches

• Assist parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting

• Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data and guide instructional strategies

• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and other school obligations

⛳️ Requirements

• No specific certificates or licenses required

• Ability to pass the necessary background check

• Strong preference for candidates residing in Indiana; residents from the Eastern Time Zone may also be considered

• Capacity to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week

• Ability to maintain a professional and distraction-free home office during work hours

• Skill in collaborating with colleagues to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data

• Capability to utilize student data for informing instructional decisions

• Open to regular feedback from administrators and teacher trainers

• Willingness to adapt to changes to ensure outstanding student outcomes

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Quick learning and adaptability to new technologies and teaching platforms

• Experience with the specified age group

• Background in supporting adults and children in using technology

• Experience in teaching online/virtually and/or in a traditional school setting

• Familiarity with online learning platforms
