This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver targeted French course content in a virtual setting.
• Offer instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning journey.
• Customize learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on student proficiency.
• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities.
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity.
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for critical standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families.
• Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents promptly.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with principals, coaches, administrators, teacher trainers, and fellow educators.
• Travel for in-person professional development, student assessments, and school events, averaging once a month or about 20% of the time.
• French teaching certification/license.
• If certification is from another state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment.
• Residency in Indiana.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Capability to work independently, generally 40+ hours per week.
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free professional home office during work hours.
• Experience with the specified age group (preferred).
• Experience assisting adults and children in utilizing technology (preferred).
• Experience in online teaching or in a traditional classroom setting (preferred).
• Familiarity with online learning platforms (preferred).
• Proficiency in interpreting and producing numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data (preferred).
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capacity to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
