French, Kirundi VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally respond to calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during conversations.

• Have a strong understanding of the specific vocabulary used in the healthcare and medical sectors.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (French) and a native speaker of the target language "Kirundi".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation at a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is considered an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and a tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
