This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, prospect, and cultivate new shipper accounts throughout the United States.
• Establish a steady pipeline by utilizing cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, social selling, and leveraging industry connections.
• Interact with decision-makers in transportation, procurement, operations, logistics, and supply chain sectors.
• Conduct discovery calls to assess freight volumes, lanes, equipment requirements, service challenges, and pricing expectations.
• Create tailored truckload and freight brokerage solutions that meet customer needs.
• Prepare pricing recommendations, lane analyses, proposals, and presentations for customers.
• Negotiate rates and commercial terms while safeguarding company profitability.
• Oversee customer relationships from initial contact through shipment execution and account expansion.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, carrier sales, safety, accounting, and leadership teams to onboard and assist new accounts.
• Identify additional lanes, facilities, and transportation opportunities within existing accounts.
• Address service, scheduling, pricing, claims, documentation, and billing issues.
• Maintain precise CRM records, sales activities, opportunities, forecasts, revenue, shipment volumes, and gross profit.
• Monitor truckload capacity, fuel costs, carrier availability, seasonal trends, and lane-specific market conditions.
• Work with asset-based operations to spot freight that aligns with available company equipment.
• Develop brokerage solutions for overflow freight, specialized equipment needs, out-of-network lanes, and customer capacity gaps.
• Adhere to company procedures regarding carrier qualification, insurance, fraud prevention, credit approval, and customer onboarding.
• At least 2 years of experience in freight brokerage, transportation, third-party logistics, or supply chain sales.
• Demonstrated success in generating new business through outbound prospecting.
• Experience managing an entire business-to-business sales cycle.
• Strong comprehension of truckload pricing, carrier capacity, lane markets, and shipment execution.
• Ability to forge relationships with manufacturers, distributors, retailers, contractors, and other freight-shipping entities.
• Excellent cold-calling, negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities.
• Capability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fully remote setting.
• Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Familiarity with CRM and transportation management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, email, and online prospecting tools.
