Freelancer – Simplified Chinese to Portuguese (Brazil), MTPE, Proofreading, Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage contracts, agreements, and various legal documents.

• Deliver comprehensive post-editing (MTPE) and/or proofreading services.

• Become a part of TransPerfect’s global brand team and ongoing freelancer network.

• Successfully complete onboarding and project-specific evaluations.

• Apply for both current and upcoming localization projects.

• Provide distinct per-word rates for MTPE and proofreading tasks.

• Oversee localization projects related to legal contracts and agreements from Simplified Chinese to Brazilian Portuguese.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native speaker of Portuguese (Brazil).

• Language pair required: Simplified Chinese to Portuguese (Brazil).

• Proven experience in legal localization projects is essential.

• Either a minimum of 2 years of professional experience along with a language-related degree, or over 5 years of professional experience without a degree.

• Required to complete a complimentary subject-specific automotive assessment.

• Must undertake service-specific MTPE and proofreading tests as necessary.

• Completion of contract-related and MTPE assessments is compulsory.

• Additional certifications can enhance the likelihood of securing tasks.

• Should submit a CV, USD rates, availability for tests, and a summary of relevant experience.

• Expected to respond to inquiries about proficiency in Portuguese (Brazil) and Simplified Chinese.

• Must indicate years of experience and approximate word counts for localization work.

• Should specify if they have experience in localizing legal documents.
