Freelance Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Transforming raw footage from an initial rough cut to a polished final version.

• Performing color correction and incorporating various visual effects.

• Improving audio quality and collaborating on sound design.

• Synchronizing voiceover and screencast audio tracks.

• Adding (and occasionally creating) animated components as per specified requirements.

• Formatting the finished product to accommodate various social media dimensions and durations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical proficiency is essential. Experience with content for SaaS products is valuable.

• A diverse skill set across various types of video editing, including sound design, motion graphics, animations, and screencasts.

• Familiarity with editorial systems, effects plug-ins, digital media routing and storage, audio mixing boards, decks, scopes, monitors, and related editorial tools.

• Understanding of basic captioning and localization processes, such as subtitle creation and dubbing.

• A broad musical sensibility.

• A comprehensive understanding of social media best practices, including export settings, file formats, and safe zones.

• Knowledge of audio/video formats (e.g., H.264) and graphic formats (PSD, JPEG, PNG).

• Ability to create professional and engaging video content for social media, digital advertisements, YouTube, Facebook cover videos, TikTok, and how-to/training videos.

• Strong familiarity with social platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram (In-Feed, Stories, Reels, TV), Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

• Understanding of optimization strategies and best practices for specifications on the aforementioned social channels.

• Knowledge of short-form promotional AV content such as trailers and advertisement units.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while collaborating with multiple teams.

• A team player with a composed demeanor to handle last-minute requests and projects.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
