This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take charge of the entire design process, from initial discovery to final delivery, crafting intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing experiences for our web and mobile platforms.
• Engage in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design, effectively translating both user and business requirements into high-quality solutions.
• Utilize tools such as Figma, Claude, and Cursor to produce production-ready designs, contribute to our design systems, and work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure effective implementation.
• Confidently communicate design choices, participate in review sessions, incorporate feedback, and uphold a high standard of quality through testing, documentation, and design quality assurance.
• Thrive in an independent working environment while also contributing to a collaborative, design-focused culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and the delivery of outstanding user experiences.
• A strong enthusiasm for creating exceptional products.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably with some experience working within or alongside multidisciplinary digital product teams.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects across web and/or mobile platforms, highlighting both UX strategy and high-quality visual execution.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component-based design, auto-layout, and design handoff processes.
• Familiarity with design systems, with experience in contributing to or developing them being a plus.
• Solid grounding in user-centered design principles, including experience with usability testing, synthesizing user research, and iterative design practices.
• Comfort with AI tools as part of the design process, including their use for prototyping, accessibility evaluation, and research synthesis. Familiarity with Claude, Cursor, or similar tools is advantageous, but a willingness to learn and adapt is crucial.
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across various time zones and cultures (we celebrate diversity!).
• A relevant degree is appreciated, but unconventional career paths are equally valued.
• A preference for working in a highly agile and cooperative environment.
• Adequate technical literacy to run a web or mobile application locally, navigate a codebase at a basic level, and submit pull requests with design modifications or annotations. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should feel at ease with using a terminal or Git workflow.
