This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread documents for clients within the Insurance and Legal industries.

• Create and finalize translated products before they are delivered to clients.

• Operate under the supervision of a manager.

• Collaborate with Project Managers.

• Utilize expertise in English-to-Simplified-Chinese (Singapore) language and subject-matter knowledge.

• Assist in meeting the translation requirements of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Simplified Chinese (Singapore).

• Specialization in Legal and/or Insurance translation.

• Strong attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.

• Ability to uphold professionalism while working under tight deadlines.

• Preference for candidates in the Asian time zone.

• Applicants are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Completion of free Translation and Proofreading tests is mandatory for applicants.

• A background check must be completed by applicants.

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies, or a related degree with significant translation training from an accredited higher-education institution; OR

• A minimum of 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; OR

• At least 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; OR

• A certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.

• The latest CV should detail relevant Translation and Proofreading experience, along with proposed translation per-word and proofreading hourly rates in USD.
