• Oversee the daily content creation for the Family Style social media platforms.
• Establish a tone that is intelligent, culturally savvy, and fluent in internet trends.
• Ensure that all posts are intentional, relevant, and worthy of sharing.
• Capture and edit short-form videos with a mobile-first approach.
• Produce talking head and educational videos.
• Create chef interviews and street-style content.
• Develop overhead recipe videos that are clean, text-driven, and require no on-screen talent.
• Design carousel posts and visual storytelling elements.
• Identify and publish timely food-related stories and news highlights.
• Cover significant industry events (awards, openings, trends).
• Generate original perspectives and unique lists.
• Bring a distinct point of view to all creative outputs.
• Manage a consistent posting schedule (10–15 posts weekly).
• Balance content across key focus areas:
• Food media/reporting
• Educational materials
• Original video content
• Memes
• Respond swiftly to cultural events.
• Engage with food culture (chefs, restaurants, trends).
• Connect with internet culture (memes, tone, pacing).
• Address youth culture as a whole.
• Collaborate with designers, editors, and leadership.
• Assist in sourcing chefs, collaborators, and contributors.
• Participate in building something from the ground up.
• Monitor performance metrics across content.
• Comprehend what drives engagement and sharing.
• Focus on strategies that yield positive results.
• 2-3 years of experience in social media and editorial roles with a publisher or brand.
• Profound understanding of the Complex content, voice, and tone.
• Strong knowledge of food and restaurant culture.
• A positive, intuitive, proactive, and collaborative team player.
• Excellent writing and communication abilities, along with proofreading experience and quick decision-making skills.
• Capability to independently shoot and edit content.
• Willingness to appear on camera for social media content.
• Availability to work nights and occasional weekends/holidays for live event coverage.
• In-depth knowledge of streetwear/fashion and its connections to areas like pop culture, sports, and music.
• Strong fluency and understanding of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
• Extensive knowledge of cultural trends and a proven track record in driving audience and consumer engagement on social media.
• Stay informed on the actions of our competitors to maintain our unique position.
• Possess self-management skills and a proactive attitude.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere Pro.
