Freelance Shopify Web Designer — Wine Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will create Shopify stores for us on the frontend, meticulously adhering to our wireframe and theme toolkit.

• Adhere to a standard: construct based on a predetermined wireframe and theme toolkit, avoiding the need to reinvent each project.

• Maintain clean placeholder logic: avoid hard-coding; utilize editable Shopify fields for content and work with placeholders until final approval is granted.

• Implement shipping and checkout logic: accurately configure the 6-bottle rule, free shipping thresholds, and the invoice payment option.

• Prepare for handover: clearly document open items and placeholder lists for the PM, Content, and IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 20 live Shopify stores developed, preferably in the wine, food, or lifestyle industries.

• Strong knowledge of Liquid and regular experience creating well-configured sections and blocks.

• Proficient with Git and GitHub; familiar with branches, commits, and pull requests, ensuring your theme code is properly versioned.

• Understanding of trust signals, social proof, and the customer journey from a new customer’s viewpoint.

• Confirm your work on actual devices.

• Able to work within defined constraints, meet deadlines, and consistently build towards established done criteria.

• Scope awareness: recognize when requirements extend beyond the fixed-price scope.

• AI affinity: comfortable working with Claude.
